At present, the common ones are ordinary lightweight refractory castables and lightweight high-strength refractory castables. Among them, lightweight high-strength refractory castables are a kind of lightweight refractory castables made of special lightweight aggregates, powders for strengthening the matrix, binders, expansion agents and water-reducing agents. It has good thermal insulation performance and high high-temperature structural strength. Index requirements for lightweight high-strength refractory castables


Physical and chemical performance indicators of lightweight high-strength refractory castables: alumina content ≥56%, silica content ≥40%. The refractoriness can reach 1700℃, the maximum use temperature can reach 1500℃, and the long-term use temperature is 1400 degrees Celsius. The volume density is 1.4g/cm3, and the maximum compressive strength can reach about 50Mpa. The flexural strength at 1000℃ is 4.8Mpa. The thermal conductivity at 350℃ is 0.41, the thermal conductivity at 500℃ is 0.43, and the thermal conductivity at 800℃ is 0.45. The thermal expansion rate at 1000℃ is 0.3%.

Lightweight high-strength refractory castable has excellent insulation performance and is often used in the insulation layer of high-temperature industrial kilns to improve the thermal efficiency of industrial kilns. It can reduce the overall load of the kiln, so it is generally used in the outermost insulation layer of high-temperature industrial kilns or furnace tops, chimneys, and other occasions to reduce the load while taking into account the refractory insulation function.
